Valentines, Snow, and a Postponed Wedding

Happy Valentines Day, friends! This is a photo of the meal I made for Matt a few years ago for Valentine's Day. I loved the idea of heart-shaped pepperonis, no matter how poorly shaped they ended up being. Haha.

Sorry the blog has been so silent lately. Just consider this the calm before the storm because life will be speeding up as the weather warms up! I'm excited for that!!

How much snow do you have? We have nothing. You read that right: NOTHING. It snowed for several hours Wednesday evening, but around 9 the temperature jumped up to 40 and it just poured rain. The rain melted all the snow so now we are left with a clear ground and temperatures in the 50s today! Man, this weather is crazy!

Even though we don't have snow here, snow elsewhere across Virginia and the rest of the east coast has caused so many flight delays that my wedding for this weekend has been postponed until the summer. So sad! The bride, the brides parents, and many other family members and guests just aren't able to catch flights to Virginia with all the snow in time for the wedding.

But now I am looking forward to their wedding this summer! It will be a lot of fun and I'll have that much more practice by then! I know the Lord works in mysterious ways, so I'm going to trust He's got everything under control.

So while my plans for the weekend have drastically changed, I'm still very excited for what it holds!

With no wedding rehearsal tonight, I'm now able to spend more time with Matt on actual Valentines Day! I have a new, delicious recipe to try for dinner and another for dessert. Then we'll spend a relaxing evening sipping wine and watching the Olympics. It sounds perfect.

I also have the opportunity to shoot a few different sessions this weekend since I have rented a lens for the wedding and can't cancel the order now. So that is going to be a lot of fun and will hit the blog next week!

I hope you have a wonderful Valentines Day and a relaxing weekend!
