October 31-Nov 3 Weekend Recap

A Monster Mash, off day, and Sunday wedding made up this weekend! Here's the recap:

1. There really should be a third picture, but it's just so darn hard to take personal pictures! Friday night we ventured to Poquoson for a "Monster Mash" with friends. While it wasn't Halloween-related at all, other than it was happening on Halloween, it was a lot of fun. Matt and I aren't big Halloween-er anyway so it was the perfect way to spend our Friday evening: fellowshipping with our friends and church family over good food and conversation.

2. This one does have a picture! This Saturday was my first OFF Saturday in some time. And let me say that it was absolutely wonderful! I very much enjoyed sleeping in with my husband, making pumpkin pancakes, staying in our pjs until well in the afternoon, and doing little projects around the house.

I know I posted about my

beautiful fall wreath

before, but that one isn't in commission anymore. That is a whole different story that I will save for it's own post! BUT I did have enough materials to make another, so YAY! Here's to making it better the second time around!

3. This weekend was different because I second shot a Sunday wedding with

Karen

! I've only ever had one other Sunday wedding and it's quite interesting. It's nice because it's different and usually easier to find vendors and cut costs. But it also throws off your internal clock a little bit. Waking up this morning, I was expecting it to be Sunday and not Monday. My alarm going off at 6 instead of 8:30 was not a welcomed sight. But nonetheless, I love my job and whether I do it on a Saturday, Sunday, or random Tuesday, is neither here nor there because it's always wonderful to watch two in love and committed people start a covenant with our Creator.

That's it for this weekend's Weekend Recap!

! Have a wonderful Monday, folks! Stay warm!
